How it works
EasyClaw connects to your email account using standard IMAP (for reading) and SMTP (for sending) protocols. This works with any email provider — Gmail, Outlook, ProtonMail, Fastmail, or your own mail server.Setup
Enter IMAP credentials
Provide your email address, IMAP server, port, and password (or app-specific password).

For Gmail and other providers that use 2-factor authentication, you’ll need to generate an app-specific password instead of using your regular password.
What your AI can do with email
- Read emails — check your inbox, read specific messages
- Search — find emails by sender, subject, date, or content
- Send — compose and send new emails
- Reply — reply to existing email threads
- Manage — mark as read, archive, organize
Limitations
- Polling interval — emails are checked periodically (every few minutes), not in real-time
- Attachments — text and common document types are supported, large attachments may be skipped
- Formatting — AI responses are sent as plain text emails
