Your AI assistant in your inbox.

How it works

EasyClaw connects to your email account using standard IMAP (for reading) and SMTP (for sending) protocols. This works with any email provider — Gmail, Outlook, ProtonMail, Fastmail, or your own mail server.

Setup

1

Open EasyClaw settings

Go to the messaging section of your web console or desktop app.
2

Enter IMAP credentials

Provide your email address, IMAP server, port, and password (or app-specific password).
3

Enter SMTP credentials

Provide your SMTP server, port, and authentication details.
4

Connected

Your AI can now read and send emails from your account.

Common provider settings

ProviderIMAP ServerSMTP Server
Gmailimap.gmail.com:993smtp.gmail.com:587
Outlookoutlook.office365.com:993smtp.office365.com:587
Yahooimap.mail.yahoo.com:993smtp.mail.yahoo.com:587
For Gmail and other providers that use 2-factor authentication, you’ll need to generate an app-specific password instead of using your regular password.

What your AI can do with email

  • Read emails — check your inbox, read specific messages
  • Search — find emails by sender, subject, date, or content
  • Send — compose and send new emails
  • Reply — reply to existing email threads
  • Manage — mark as read, archive, organize

Limitations

  • Polling interval — emails are checked periodically (every few minutes), not in real-time
  • Attachments — text and common document types are supported, large attachments may be skipped
  • Formatting — AI responses are sent as plain text emails
